A long awaited groundbreaking took place on Thursday for the Stock Farm neighborhood in Bluffton, SC. Our good friends the McCrackens and the Tilton Group are moving forward with construction on one of seven lots that will be available in this New Urban extension of the Bluffton Old Town grid. The neighborhood was designed to preserve the existing character and mix of uses that exists in the Town's original square mile. Witmer Jones Keefer has consulted with the Developers on the landscape architecture for the proposed homes which will include BIORETENTION systems that are designed to retain up to a 25 year storm event on each lot. This outstanding regulation was initiated by the McCracken family as one of many ways they hope to set a good example for positive and sustainable growth in the area.
